Did you know? Recycling contamination is a huge issue in America. About 25% of the items Americans put in the recycling bin aren't actually recyclable. Why is this an issue? When contaminated recyclables end up at the processing plant, it can cause safety issues for the workers, damage the equipment, and worst of all all the material that had previously been recyclable can no longer be and is sent off to the dump. That's all your effort recycling wasted. Before you throw something in the recycling bin, please check this handy list to see if it's actually considered trash or a recyclable.
