Be Careful When Choosing a Husband

After her mother's death, Elrose Basellan was cast out by her father for 14 years. With news of his passing, Elrose rushes to claim her inheritance, but can't do so unless she's married! Desperate, she prays for a husband, and the mysterious Rakshan seems to fall from the sky! They agree to a temporary union that benefits them both, but unexpected issues keep delaying their plans for divorce. Will this fake marriage become something more? Or should Elrose have chosen her husband more carefully?

After her mother’s death, Elrose is left alone in a monastery, while her father stripped of her of her fortune. When news of his passing reaches her, she must flee the monastery and marry within hours to claim her rightful inheritance and title. Desperate, she prays for a husband and fate brings a man to her feet. Little does she know that this man is Lachsann, the man who stole her money. Despite her mother’s warning to “choose a husband carefully,” she can’t do so in this situation and proposes to Lachsann.

“Do you have no intention of repaying me, except for your body?”

Unbeknownst to her, Lachsann isn’t just any man but the emperor’s brother and the king of mercenaries, Harkhan.
