• Screw-Style (ねじ式, Nejishiki, ALT. ENG - The Stopcock), June 1968 -

A man gets bitten on the arm by a jellyfish on a village beach foreign to him. He sets off desperately searching for a doctor who can heal his bleeding veins…
Tsuge's 1st English translated work in Concerned Theatre Japan Vol. 2 #1 as The Stopcock, 1971.
It was published again in The Comics Journal #250, February 2003. A sensational and controversial piece that stunned American audiences when published in TCJ. One of Tsuge's "dream stories".
To be released as the leading one-shot in Volume 3 of the Yoshiharu Tsuge Gekiga Complete Works (April 2023).

• The Swamp (沼, Numa, ALT ENG. - Marsh), February 1966 -

A man meets a strange woman while hunting in a marsh.
Released as part of Volume 1 of the Yoshiharu Tsuge Gekiga Complete Works and is the leading one-shot.

A couple takes care of a java sparrow.

Rain mysteriously falls around a particular place where a boy and his grandfather plan on going mushroom hunting the next morning…
